About ROBOT WORLD
The authoritative intelligence platform at the intersection of Robotics, World Models, and Physical AI. Built for the people who are building the next era of computing.
Founder
Rolando Rabines
In 1985, inside a lecture hall at MIT, Rolando Rabines was already looking for the future in lines of code and computer chips. He was a believer in the dawning age of robotics and supercomputing, but that afternoon, a professor delivered a cold dose of economic reality that would reshape his entire trajectory.
The verdict was simple: while the promise of robotics was undeniable, the world wasn't ready for the "machine." The professor explained that for at least the next twenty years, there was almost nothing a robot could do that a human, somewhere in the world, couldn't do cheaper and better.
In that moment, Rolando’s perspective shifted. He realized that his career would be defined by building the stepping stones—the network infrastructure, the silicon foundations, and the capital systems—necessary for a future not yet born. If the world wasn't ready for the robots, he would spend the next three decades mastering the complex global architecture that would eventually make them inevitable.
Rolando Rabines isn't a journalist learning the tech. He's a builder, investor, and operator whose career traces the origin story of Physical AI. His background ranges from MIT mobile robotics and DARPA combat simulators, to a semiconductor IPO, a $230M fintech platform, and AI architecture patents now owned by TSMC.
Now, with a global intelligence network from Boston to Singapore, he is bridging the gap between frontier tech and finance. ROBOT WORLD is that bridge—the definitive voice for an era where Physical AI and AGI are converging. Rolando views this not merely as a technological shift, but as a global race where geopolitical advantage is a hollow prize unless it is anchored by the alignment vectors that ensure humanity’s survival.

Methodology
How Our Rankings Work
ROBOT WORLD Rankings are designed to be the most rigorous, transparent scoring system in Physical AI. Every platform is evaluated across eight weighted dimensions with scores derived from published benchmarks, hands-on evaluation, and expert panel assessment.
We publish the methodology transparently because we believe the debate about how to measure Physical AI capability is itself a valuable contribution. Rankings are updated quarterly, with the full scoring methodology available for review.
Companies can submit data for inclusion. We welcome challenges to our methodology — debate is engagement, and engagement sharpens the analysis for everyone.
